My Story, my why.

Like so many, yoga healed me from the inside out, changed my relationship with myself, the world and taught me how to live a fully realized life.

My yoga journey began circa 2004 with UC Riverside rec center classes, yoga DVDs, and within the walls of Just Yoga Corona with my teachers Lisa Salners and Damien McVey. I’ve started teaching in 2011 immediately after YTT. My teaching is influenced by a spectrum of traditional and non-traditional lineages: Ashtanga, Iyengar Yoga, Bhakti, Zen Buddhism and mindfulness, plus biomechanics-based mobility work and somatic movement.

In 2017, I made a career of teaching yoga full-time. I’m Yoga Alliance certified and registered, an E-RYT with over 700 hours of training and over 4,500 hours of teaching folks of all backgrounds at studios, gyms, festivals, homes, offices, parks, and international retreats.

My style of teaching blends yoga tradition with an evidence-based understanding of anatomy and biomechanics to cultivate body awareness.

I’m here to teach this practice in a way where, over time, you’ll take it everywhere with you and continue to reap the rewards of practice with all eight limbs in mind.

My asana classes weave together intention, play, breath, and mindfulness. You journey through sequences designed to create warmth, space, awareness and balance in the body, mind, and heart.

With private clients, it’s all about what they need in the moment and where they are in their journey.

Online, I share my practice and teaching style through content that breaks down poses, transitions, and other practices to help people work smarter rather than harder, the core of #bendstronger.

When not teaching, I’m with my 11-year-old son and longtime partner in beautiful North County San Diego.

I enjoy my down-time strength training at the gym, at the beach, hiking, rock climbing, reading, attending live music shows, and traveling.
