My Story, my why.

Like so many, yoga healed me from the inside out and changed my relationship with myself and the world.

My love affair with yoga began 18 years ago at my college’s rec center, with yoga DVDs, and at Just Yoga Corona with my teacher Lisa Salners. I’ve been walking the path of my calling to teach since 2011. I’ve been influenced by everything from Ashtanga and Iyengar, biomechanics, resistance training and somatic movement, to Bhakti, yin yoga and mindfulness practices.

Since 2017, I’m living my dream of teaching yoga full-time. I’m Yoga Alliance certified and registered, an E-RYT with over 500 hours of training and over 4,000 hours of experience teaching to students of all backgrounds at studios, gyms, festivals, homes, offices, parks, and retreats.

I blend my reverence for yoga tradition with an evidence-based study of anatomy and biomechanics to foster body awareness. I focus heavily on empowering students to make the practice work with their body.

My goal is to educate far beyond guiding asana, though that’s where most start.

I’m here to teach this practice in a way where, over time, you’ll take it home with you and continue to reap the rewards of practice with all eight limbs in mind.

My teaching weaves play, breath, mindfulness, and intention together. In my group classes, you’ll journey through sequences designed to create warmth, space, awareness and balance in the body, mind, and heart.

With private clients, it’s all about what they need in the moment and where they are in their journey.

Online, I share my practice and teaching style through content that breaks down poses, transitions, and other practices to help people work smarter rather than harder, the core of #bendstronger.

When I’m not teaching or practicing yoga, I spend time with my clever 9-year-old son as a single fit-mom-preneur, where we live in beautiful North County San Diego. I enjoy my down-time enjoying nature with hikes, attempting to surf, rock climbing, lifting weights in the gym, reading, enjoying movies, and traveling.
